McCain suggests Obama tax policies are socialist
CONCORD, N.C. (AP) — Republican presidential candidate John McCain on Saturday accused Democratic rival Barack Obama of favoring a socialistic economic approach by supporting tax cuts and tax credits McCain says would merely shuffle wealth rather than creating it.

"At least in Europe, the Socialist leaders who so admire my opponent are upfront about their objectives," McCain said in a radio address. "They use real numbers and honest language. And we should demand equal candor from Sen. Obama. Raising taxes on some in order to give checks to others is not a tax cut; it's just another government giveaway."

Looks like this is what the Repubs are going to run with for the home stretch. Dubious strategy to say the least.

1. I think the best strategy is to go on offense

on McCain's support of deregulation that precipitated this crisis. Make it be a battle of Obama's Middle class tax cuts(regardless of where McCain says they come from) vs. McCain's cheerleading of Deregulation for the ultra rich banks. We have the environment and resources to win this argument now. Also Obama can counterpunch by calling out MCcain's simplistic labeling as part of the problem with the tone in washington(the theme of his campaign)that keeps our nation divide, not based on rationality but on emotion. That people shout names at each other from across the room, rather than meeting at the table in the middle of it.

2. My tax dollars are going to a bank or AIG's executive's bonus and/or vacation.
McCain voted for this privilege. Who's the socialist now?
