There is sort of a rolling landslide scenario brewing. If Obama still looks this good a week out and folks like Chuckie T start saying it over, a sense of resignation is going to settle in among a portion of the GOP and the internal blame game begins, Wrong candidate...poor campaigner, erraticism, even Palin become issue for navel-gazing.

GA for example is an oft-talked-about perfect storm If the weather is nice and the GOP base in Cobb and Gwinnett vote for Barr in sufficient numbers while others stay home. Obama could pull off a squeaker.

There has been no polling in neraly three weeks, and while McCain was up +7... In the latest poll he was only at 45%

Similarly, another Perfect storm could emerge in Arizona where a combination high Hispanic-Americans turnout and an early night scenario where Obama wins a surprise state like Georgia would certainly depress GOP turnout and we could push 400 electoral votes,

Arkansas could be a surprise too but less so than Georgia.

1. So, say the reports are in for New England, New York, Pa
and the other easy states in the eastern time zone.
Then what if either Virginia or North Carolina is called and then Indiana ( polls close at 7pm Eastern - 6 Central)

That would be delicious.

2. I agree. If it looks like it's over for McCain his supporters will stay home
and Obama's will be energized. It could end up a landslide.

5. Let's be clear. His supporters will vote for him,, It is the nominal GOPers
who never liked McCain but like Obama less. Those are the ones who might stay home.

7. Yeah. If the election is over at 4 pm in the mountain states...
Rethugs would say "why bother... McCain is a slug anyway" and Montana, the Dakotas, Arizona could all flip blue.

Maybe even Alaska!!

6. I really think that Georgia could go for Obama
The turn out in Georgia could really help Martin get the senate seat. I also think that the voter turnout could change a lot of states that people weren't expecting.
