I know I would have at least shown irritation at McSame or even perhaps snapped angrily at him during his lies. Barack just totally amazes me in this regard.

3. Agreed. And it's a bit of a paradox.

One doesn't encounter that kind of calm very often in someone from that degree of difficult family circumstance ( single parent, money troubles, multiple moves, mixed race, never fitting in demographically, etc. ).

His intelligence adds up; both parents were bright. The psychological impreturbability is less explicable and kind of fascinating.

putting aside how calm he is at the debates, in the face of utterly disgraceful charges, smears and hate speech... just watch how dignified he is in this high-powered NYC wall street crowd... and how dignified he is in addressing mccain himself.
