10. Voting on election day (I live in a bluer then blue state) and taking my 3 and 4 year olds with me.

I explained to them that I'm voting for that nice guy Barack and that other nice guy Joe they see on t.v. when I watch the news in the morning. They asked to come with me so I said yes. Maybe if I keep taking them it will influence them enough to some day get involved in the politcal process. They at least know enough about the personality of people that they like Barack and Joe over John and Sarah (they told me so) but my older daughter prefers "that yellow haired girl Hillary" the best. That gave me a good laugh.

12. I love the ritual of voting in person on election day.
My mother used to take me in the booth with her and it still makes me feel warm and fuzzy to vote in person. I always take at least one of my kids out of school to vote with me. They love it and it passes the ritual on to the next generation.

13. They mailed the ballots here in WA today,
so hopefully I will get mine tomorrow and will return it the same day. If not, it will be Monday.
