1. Its not just about numbers, its about momentum

I don't want to be a doomsayer, I am just saying we shouldn't be trying to re-frame the debate away from national security. If that is the issue that is resonating with the electorate you can't runaway from it. We are winning the economic debate, continue to talk about it of course, but stay in the fight that is on the front pages too.

And get some attack ads on Bush out there.

2. I don't think it's the numbers that are depressing us

it's the symptom of the disease--that Kerry's campaign is weak and anemic in responding to these attacks by the Repugs and we realize that it's really hurting us.
