Add to this list gay marriage and illegal aliens, flag burning, school prayer - which are all designed to push emotional hot buttons and the end result is to short circuit rational thinking by less educated and less rational voters.

If such an opportunity doesn't naturally present itself they will contrive it as they've done with the fake plumber.

The concept is to reduce the race to a school yard taunt using a prop to shut down thinking and stop people from thinking

Republican weasels like Karl Rove and Dick Morris love this crap.

This is their stock and trade of campaigns and we need to find ways to ridicule, embarass and humiliate them over it in ways that less educated voters understand.
