Just got an email from the Obama campaign. I'm going to do it, with the caveat that my throat has turned sore and nose runny tonight, and I feel a bad one coming on. Still, sounds like fun. I'm sure there's many other departure sites than Bethesda, but I live near there. It's going to be a gorgeous fall weekend. There's plenty of football left, but not much election time. Here's the email I received:
Dear Friend -
With just two weekends before GOTV starts and Election Day, today's Washington Post reports that McCain is mounting a comeback effort in Virginia and increasing his campaign activities. A second story about the lack of preparedness in Virginia for Election Day is further proof -- this campaign is far from over.

There are still many undecided voters in Virginia that the campaign is trying to reach, and we need to get into the field and into Virginia as soon as possible to knock on more doors and identify more Obama supporters. The race is close, and we are running out of time.
Can we count on you to drive to VA to knock on doors Saturday or Sunday?

Canvasses leave Bethesda at 9am and 1pm on Saturday, and 12pm on Sunday. Spend a few hours helping turn Virginia blue for Obama-Biden. Sign up here:
