Noriega closes to within 6 of Cornyn in Texas Senator Race

Dear Douglas,
A new poll by Research 2000 shows John Cornyn ahead of Rick Noriega at 50% to 44%. That's just 6 points!

This news comes on the heels of a recent Rasmussen poll that showed us closing in on our opponent and behind by just 7%.

This race is tight. You can make the difference. The only way we can close this small gap in these final days is getting our TV ads on the air. And that starts with you.

Click here to donate $10, $25, or $50 today!

These great poll numbers come right after Rick won last night's debate with Cornyn. Rick laid out his plan to put Texas back on the right course while Cornyn tried to hide from his poor voting record. Paul Burka with the Texas Monthly called Rick's performance "impressive" and he agrees, if we have the financial resources, we can win.1

It's clear that we're closing in on Cornyn, who has failed Texas families on energy, the war in Iraq, and our economy. We have 18 days to make up 6 points. I know we can do it with your help.

Rick can win on November 4th with your help. Click here to donate $10, $25, or $50 today!

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Mark Bell
Campaign Manager
Rick Noriega for U.S. Senate

5. No huger than Barack Hussein Obama
In my perfect future, Obama takes Texas. But I would be damned happy if we could at least get that mental midget, Cornyn out of office. His cosmic cowboy ads aren't helping him, that's for sure.

8. Sadly
He filmed that freaking commercial in my beautiful Palo Duro Canyon. Now, we have to scrub it to get that stank out.

12. But Cornyn has all the TV ad time -- I haven't seen a Noriega ad.
First we saw Cornyn staring into a canyon -- sort of like looking down on a deficit, or the crater where Wall Street had been.

Recently is what I call the cow-pattie Cornyn -- he's standing in a field with a herd of cattle. At least it's truth in advertising -- he's all bull shit.

14. I've seen some
Need to see a lot more.

A tidbit FWIW that I also posted in the Turn Houston Blue thread:

*****************

Well, I think former DeLay Land could go blue, from what I hear when I listen to people.

Even my workplace, in the mock election for employees, is tied on the Presidential race. Really.

In the mock election for students, Obama is leading by more than 2-1. Really.

Funny thing is, Cornyn is leading Noriega by quite a bit in the same mock election (employees). My take on that is that if he had a lot of money to spend to overcome the name-recognition factor he could beat Cornyn.
