Cindy McCain reprises 'always been proud of my country' line
Cindy McCain reprises 'always proud' line

The Swamp

by Jill Zuckman

MIAMI - At a packed rally at Florida International University in Miami, Cindy McCain repeated one of her most controversial lines this afternoon. "And yes," she told the screaming, pom-pom waving crowd. "I have always been proud of my country."

The line is a reference to something Michelle Obama said during the primaries. "For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback," said Obama, taking heat for the remark.

Cindy McCain, who had just seen Michelle Obama say those words on television, when she walked into a rally earlier this year and said, "I have always been proud of my country."

Her response created its own firestorm, with Cindy McCain's words played endlessly on cable television.

6. Cindy should have a talk with Sarah
Sarah implied that some areas of America are not pro-America.

I think that Cindy is finally getting that the White House might not be her destiny, and it's pissing her off. Gergen commented on her "Obama's been running the dirtiest campaign in American history!" line, and said that the McCains are bitter bc he has been running for president for 10 years. Can you say entitled?

7. That is good to know Cindy. I assume when first Lady Michelle Obama asks for your support. . .
. . .on any number of issues you will be more than happy to serve because as you said you have always been proud of your country.

8. Just like her darling hubby is so proud of every one of his followers,
even those who shout "Terrorist" and "Kill him" at rallies, like he said on national TV Wednesday night.

9. What Michelle said was "For the first time in my adult life I am REALLY proud of my country..."
All references conveniently leave out the "really", making it sound worse than it did.

Oh, and Cindy McCain is a c*nt. Just ask her husband.

It's hard to fight stupid. :(

(and I didn't know she'd left it out once, so thanks for the info :hi: I do like being an INFORMED supporter, even when the opponent's argument is nonsense.)

10. you know what else sucks....
Jon Stewart and Larry King were REALLY trying to get Michelle to say something bad about Cindy last week. And all Michelle said was "She's always cordial when I see her" and "We're going to need John and Cindy's help".

Cindy does not hold a candle to Michelle.
