GOP is planning massive voter suppression efforts
ACORN! Acorn is out there and attempting to assist Obama/Biden in stealing this election. They have corrupted the registrar's office with thousands of fr audulent registrations. We are going to help CLEAN IT UP! For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected
shall never Know... Let us use this freedom to CLEAN THIS MESS UP! The Veteran's Coalition will be walking these districts to ensure valid registrations. If you don't want to see this election stolen, please join our brave men and women who will be hitting the streets to identify and document any shenannigans.

This was from an email a friend got. She signed up for the local McCain campaign's email list to keep an eye on them.

This sounds to me like they have a voter suppression effort targetted for our poorer area on Election days.

1. You can bet on it.
First they pumped their supporters who are THAT STUPID with misinformation about this "scary" ACORN crowd. Then they convinced them that hordes of ineligible voters are going to storm the polls in November (mickey mouse, dead people and the starting line-up of something?)

Then they get them to be "poll watchers" so they can raise a fuss and cause confusion when anyone THAT STUPID thinks someone is coming to vote who might be an illegal alien.

If your precincts look anything like mine, (people who don't have to be somewhere else all day on a workday tuesday). .they might be intimidated into giving this STUPID person their way...

I'm going to talk to the campaign to make sure we have poll watchers and lawyers on the ground in those districts to prevent thug tactics.

Our mayor is a democrat though so I expect rather swift police response if the thugs get out of line.

We are becoming a 3rd world country because of this shit. I wish we would request UN monitors for our elections.

4. Can you really have partisan poll watchers in America?
I know it's not allowed here in Sweden. Sounds really weird to me.

or campaign.

However each parties send poll watchers. The only thing a poll watcher can legally do is watch to ensure that election law is being followed. They cannot challenge people on voter rolls, they cannot stop people from voting. They can document and call lawyers. That is it. The Polling officials have a final say.

We need to watch the lines to ensure these "veterans" aren't posing as police or any other official and talking to people before they vote.

I'd say "executing" and maybe throw in an "again" and perhaps a "par for the course" somewhere.

7. We usually don't see this being organized locally
It sounds like they are planning a thug army to intimidate people at the polls this year. I know its happened in many other places in this country but I haven't heard or seen from it here.

Generally in my area there is the poll watching but there isn't an all out effort to suppress the vote which is what it appears they are recruiting for.
