Anyone else freaked out about voting absentee? I don't trust 'em after 00 and 04!
A friend turned in her absentee ballot at City Hall yesterday, and the woman said, "I think I know where these go." My friend said "What? Will you direct me to do DOES know where these go?"

I'm nervous because I have to vote absentee.

1. Yes, I think early voting is a better way to go, if available.

4. Early voting is the best way!
That way, if your vote is challenged in any way, you can challenge back and you have the time to vote again
if your first (or, Heaven Forbid, Second) vote is rejected.

Vote Early--that's the best. Check with your local county or Parrish.

2. Don't submit an absentee vote or a mail in ballot. . .

or you could be toast. Really. This appeared in the most recent issue of The Nation. Magazine.

It's best to vote EARLY if your state allows it. Check it out!!

3. NO - As someone who has consulted for Dem candidates WE PREFER THAT YOU VOTE THIS WAY
above all other ways because it is much easier for us to track when you've requested a ballot, when it has been mailed and when you've voted it and it means we can get you out of the way BEFORE election day and thus our work load is reduced. It ALSO means that if the SOE rejects your ballot for some reason PRIOR to election day we've got time to get the lawyers in to fix the problem.

Thanks for voting ABSENTEE!

5. You are right not to trust this. . .
Some of the REPUKE Secretaries of State or County Registrars simply throw these in the garbage.

Don't submit an absentee ballot. Check with your county or Parrish about voting early. That's best.
