I'm really not doing my job

I keep posting here about my wife wanting to vote for McCain. We've both always voted Republican, but I split away two years ago (earlier than that, but the last elections was two years ago).

I don't want to be one of those assholes who send a bunch of negative emails about the opposing candidate. I hate it when people do that to me.

I assumed she knew the facts. I thought she was seeing the same information I saw, but was being stubborn. This evening I mentioned something about McCain voting with Bush 90% of the time. She accused me of getting this info from a biased source. I was blown away. "I heard it from McCain's own lips!!!" I said. "Haven't you heard that quote?"

She had not head the quote, but as luck would have it, we were watching MSNBC, and a few minutes later, the clip was on the air! "See! See!"

Then I asked what she knew about Palin. I was amazed that she knew nothing! Here are the things she had NEVER heard...

1. Never heard she charged rape victims for rape kits

2. Never heard that she would not allow incest victims to abort (BTW: My wife is pro choice)

3. Never heard that Scott Palin was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, or what that meant, or that Sarah recorded a welcome greeting for them (tantamount to endorsement... and treason!).

4. Never heard about the shooting-animals-from-airplanes thing. My wife is an avid pro-animal person, and our local Humane Society is in our will... at her insistence.

How could I have dropped the ball? This blew me away.

Now I need to dig up all the links and videos to prove all this. I wish I'd been bookmarking it all. Post links if you have them handy.
