McCain & Obama speak at Charity event for Al Smith. BEST LINE BY OBAMA:
Edited on Thu Oct-16-08 08:45 PM by BigBearJohn

"It is an honor to be here with Al Smith,
I obviously never knew your great grandfather,
but from everything that Sen. McCain has told
me, the two of them had a great time together
before prohibition." and

"I'd like to disavow people of the idea that
I was born in the manger... actually I was
born on Kyrpton, the son of Jorel."

=or=

"Who would have thought that a cross-dressing
Mayor of New York City would have a tough time
winning the Republican nomination. It's shocking."

6. did you hear why we didn't have this event in 2004?
the Catholic church would not let Kerry speak because he is a catholic and in favor of choice.

How can you even read that line and realize how absurd religion can be.

9. They have the event every year...
Only they invited the VP candidates in 2004 instead of the Presidential candidates that year, for the reason you mentioned.
Usually, the Presidential candidates would have been invited.
