Lawsuit says supporter fears for Obama’s life

KANSAS CITY | A Kansas City lawyer and supporter of Barack Obama for president has filed suit in federal court, alleging that the Republican ticket has incited violence against the Democratic nominee.

In her lawsuit against Sen. John McCain, Gov. Sarah Palin and campaign manager Rick Davis, Mary Kay Green said she had been injured by their campaign tactics and suffered “terror of the heart, anxiety and grave fear” for Obama’s life.

Green said the GOP campaign had used hate speech to work its supporters into a frenzy, leading to death threats against Obama.

The lawsuit, which was filed Tuesday, has been assigned to a federal court mediation program for resolution.

8. Very interesting
Probably thrown out of court immediately, but it would be interesting to read the transcript of the initial court proceeding.

9. I'd sign up for that. She has a website so we should ask her to get this
with an entire group of people. I know I've felt extreme anxiety from the direction of the speeches.

10. It'll get tossed, but as said above
get a class action filed and hit 'em for about a hundred million. It'd still be a nice, and deserved shit storm for them to deal with, and it'd put the kibosh on the hate at the rallies. Huge long shot here, but hey, good for her - she's got guts to file this.

11. Oh for crying out loud.
There should be some other way to deal with it rather than filing lawsuits.
