I am so proud of my kid; he just told me about a talk he had with a McCainiac today
He works in a freight yard and talks to truck drivers all day who are generally right wing and wanting to vote for McCain. So he has been spending lots of time researching the dumb things they say. Kid just called to tell me a trucker came in today and said "Well you better enjoy your paychecks while you can cause Obama is going to raise your taxes. You won't even have a paycheck. You will just get a slip of paper that says 'you worked'"

So kid says "Oh you make over $250,0000 a year driving a truck? I want YOUR job!"

So then kid went on to explain how Obama's tax plan really works and the trucker finally said "Hell, I ain't even registered to vote so I can't vote anyway." And kid said "My mom will be glad to hear that."

5. proud2Blib you have a great son!

Especially to have the patience to explain what Obama's plan is about! That trucker and his ilk need to turn off Faux news and find other news sources!

9. You raised him right!
Great work!

I always say my boys are activists in training. (They're 2 & 4.) One of them even has a shirt that says "Little Democrat" and the other has "Future President". I want them to know that it's okay to have an opinion - even an unpopular one and to express it! Knowledge is power!
