Please look into it. Let's apply it to this situation.

(1) Obama goes door to door in Lucas County, Ohio.

(2) Some douche shows up on a rope line and says that he's a plumber, and is going to buy a business for (conveniently) more than $250,000, and therefore he doesn't like Obama's tax plan.

(3) The Goopers run with Obama's response. McClown makes it a centerpiece of his awful performance in Debate #3.

(4) The Obama campaign does nothing. Biden makes a few comments that are effective and make light of the situation. The media looks into "Joe the Plumber."

(5) Turns out the dude is not a plumber, and (hilariously) doesn't pay his taxes.


Now you are warning us, I think, that this is all a ROVIAN TRAP, and that we need to watch out, because somehow, some way, this will all destroy Barack Obama's campaign.

Occam's Razor finds . . . :

Wrong. This guy was either a goofy douche or a McClown campaign plant. Doesn't matter. The media is doing its job and reporting about him. Potential for blowback against Obama: none.

I'm not sure why, with 19 days left, people on DU still need to understand this, but Barack Obama and his advisors are smarter than John McCain and his. Period. End of story.
