He's a fucking plant, plain and simple. The McCain campaign looked in the area for a surrogate and sent him on a mission.

2. Are you serious?
Really?

JTP admitted that "they" asked him to attend an Obama rally????

But Obama was in the streets of Ohio when he talked with JTP.

I must be missing something.

5. It's bullshit....everything is a consipracy on this board...
bottom line, he lived in the neighborhood, went there to shoot off his mouth, and make a spectacle out of Obama's tax plan. ANYONE of us would have done the same thing if mccrap was walking our street. Now, I said before, I hate the guy, but we should be BETTER than them, and not LIE, or invent shit that's just not true.

25. How'd they know to film *Joe* watching the debate then?
On MSNBC this morning they showed film clips of Joe watching the debate--why would a news agency have filmed *Joe* watching the debates if it wasn't already known that plumber Joe would be brought UP by McCain DURING the debates?

Do you see what I mean?

Unless the media contacted Joe later and then filmed him watching a tape of the debate?

Not trying to be contrary, but this does reek of being a McCain campaign stunt IMO.

6. Yes, I did watch it, and he said NOTHING of the sort that I heard.
Edited on Thu Oct-16-08 11:25 AM by 1corona4u
Yesterday he said that he and his son were playing football, when they heard that Obama was a couple of streets over, so they went over there. IF he said that now, he's a bigger liar then we all thought.

29. The rally you cite is a forthcoming rally. He says he met Sen. Obama by coincidence
Also, he says that he is registered to vote. So, there are a couple of misconceptions floating around DU right now.

Edited on Thu Oct-16-08 11:39 AM by 1corona4u
I quoted what he said, IN THE RIGHT ORDER.

CBS; "had they contacted you BEFORE that encounter with Senator Obama?

Joe; "Oh no, no one's contacted me, ----they have contacted me and asked me to show up AT A RALLY, but I just happened to be here and Barack Obama showed up".

19. I agree
however I do think is clearly a republican who wanted to stir trouble for Obama and now the party is using him as their poster boy. why the the msm asking him who he is going to vote for when he is a registered republican. This guy is on the tv spewing pure republican talking points. Why don't the msm get a few average democrats and interview them? I'm sure we many Joes out there since the media is obviously fascinated by the name Joe.

He was a majour part of the debate last night, so much so that at one point I said out loud "I got it already with the fucking plumber". They both just kept going, and brought him up later as well.

I hope that he doesn't allow McPalin to use him.

However, JTP seems like kind of an unhinged character. He's not apple pie and baseball.

...more like possum pie and listening to Rush Limbaugh.

38. Where in the GMA interview does he say "upcoming rally"?
When asked if contacted previous to the debate he states "they asked me to attend a rally" then in reference to the rally being discussed he states "Obama showed up". This future rally bullshit is not in the interview, so this claim is CYA.

41. Let me give you and example
The asshats on insanity.com used to argue this about Plame. ... Joe said 'she was not and undercover agent the day Novak published his column' (not exact but something similar to what Wilson said) They went on and on about how Joe admitted she was not undercover when his true intent was to say that Novak outed her.

So we have some yahoo trying to make a name for himself he ran over to get a gotcha question to Obama, then a yahoo running for President throws a hail mary and uses the plumber yahoo. Then, after the fact, invites him to a rally.
