My non voting apolitical husband told me this morning that McInsane is toast
Edited on Thu Oct-16-08 08:51 AM by Jennicut
He doesn't vote no matter how hard I try to get him to and he leans moderate to liberal with his views but he is very non partisan. He had doubts about Obama's experience for a while. He had 4 observations about last night's debate and told me after that Barack Obama will be our next president.
He said:

1. John McInsane does not look right. He is old, his teeth look like they are melting (LOL) and the bulge on his face looks disgusting. He said never underestimate that people are thinking that who they vote for has to live with them in their living rooms for 4 years.

2. Obama looked professional, unruffled, cool, collected, calm. But we all knew that.

3. Obama articulates his ideas calmly, simply, directly. My hubby is no politcal vet like me and you. But he understood all of Obama's ideas because Barack layed them out in a way for everyday people to understand. McInsane was all over the place and my husband said he does not relate well to the American people what his plans are.

4. McInsane seethes with anger and looks ready to blow his top at any minute. He picked up on this without knowing much about McInsane's background.

Well, he told me this morning he approves of my vote. Now I just have to get him registered for the next presidential election. He seemed more interested this year then any other so that is a good thing. He also says we live in majorly blue state so why bother. Oh well.

1. It's too bad he doesn't vote.
But, it's his choice. Although he seems more on the ball than most people I know who do vote.

My husband leans just a little on the conservative side (compared to me) and he said last night that McCain came off as an arrogant, condescending asshole.

2. He says if he registers they will pick him to do jury duty.
Kind of stupid but his being married to me has rubbed of on him. He is getting well informed on the issues!

3. Same reason my mom didn't want to register.
I don't think she's voted in more than 30 years, but she's registered now because I goated her and cast asparagus at her. And she's voting OBAMA :wow:

4. They pull jury duty people from driver's license rosters these days.
So there's no reason not to register, heheh.

5. You should tell your husband that
a lot of states are now choosing people who--have drivers licenses....not sure about your state though. They do here in Florida....

8. Interesting. I have never been called for jury duty.
DH has, once. His company paid him for the few days he sat on the jury.

Now watch me get a summons in the mail today. LOL

7. I got my son to vote
He tends toward the "Oh, my vote isn't going to count anyway" mindset. Three simple words got him registered and anxious to vote: President Sarah Palin.

9. yeah, they told us to tell people about the new ways to get picked for
jury duty when we were registering voters. It came as a shock to a few people that they were gonna get called for Jury duty whether or not they registered to vote.

This election was different anyway-- many people who weren't registered for this reason or others stepped up.
