The debate last night: What did I miss?
Edited on Thu Oct-16-08 08:14 AM by skypilot
I ended up watching the Phillies games, so I didn't see this last debate. I didn't really need to see it since I know who I'm voting for, but were there any hilights or lowlights that I missed. Did McCain "take the gloves off" and all that?

1. Well, there was the moment when McCain got mad at Schieffer and
lunged across the table and began to strangle him. That was kind of embarrassing, I thought. Ok, the question was a little pointed, but still.

2. How about when McCain excused himself
to go to the bathroom. Twice.

4. I got frustrated
trying to see how much higher McCain had adjusted his chair than Obama's and whether his feet touched the floor or just his toes. That might hurt leg circulation so that he would stagger a bit on getting up but before then I had to get to work.

Oh yeah, the human shield employed to block all economic questions, Joe the Plumber whom we assume had a last name McCain could not pronounce.

The signs of McCain losing it to a temper tantrum were there, but we assume that he bit down on a barely sufficient tranquilizer embedded in a fake tooth, so that by the end only the front teeth remained to smile at the cameras.
