I know a non-partisan polling expert who just looked at that Time poll
and he's says it's garbage. Utter trash. About as worthwhile as those internet Zogby ones. No real bias, just TERRIBLY done.

Relax.

1. However this is just what the media wants
The kind of emotion of a lopsided race generates works good for getting people to tune in. It is easier to write stories about, since they can be more confident in making predictions.

2. Can you ask him about the Newsweek poll?
I'd love to hear his take on that.

3. Rasmussen has even said it is a bad poll.
When a right wing pollester looks at that poll and says it is badly done, it must be horrible.

5. I think Rassmussen is much more accurate
I think Bush probably is ahead by 4 or 5, but 11? I will only believe it if I see it confirmed in a week by other polls.

6. The fact that he trashed the Time and Newsweek polls say a lot
since he's known to lean Republican.

7. maybe the time poll is a good thing
Right now everyone is reporting that Bush is up 11, and then in a few days we will get more polls (more accurate) that show a smaller lead. The story then can be about how quickly the convention bounce disappeared, and how Kerry is picking up momentum.

9. and...
... if Bush thinks he's up by 11 (c'mon we know the boy doesn't do statistical analysis), he might relax and the country won't have to worry about another LIHOP or some desperate grab
to keep power.

Let the beast snooze, hopefully the election will pass him by.

8. I think the SBIR pollster for Time and Rove could be linked
the prez of the company is known to have GOP ties, manufacturing momentum in my opinion

10. What what about Newsweek?
Edited on Sat Sep-04-04 06:36 PM by lancdem
Are they in the GOP's pocket, too? Their methodology was equally bad.
