All this "Joe the Plumber" talk from the McCain camp is yet another distortion, trying to make it sound like this guy is just a regular blue-collar worker struggling to make ends meet. This guy wants to be a BUSINESS OWNER.

I got no fucking sympathy for this guy or anyone else bringing in that kind of money.

1. An asshole whining over 3% more in taxes.
Wish I made over 250k. I'd gladly pay the tax.

3. I would add, most plumbers **build** their own business. You don't need to buy one!

4. He wants to go from "employee" to "owning the entire company" without paying more taxes?
That's what McCain seemed to be saying. And that's
just pretty damn stupid.

Of course, McCain distorts every truth so badly,
I can't make any inferences as to Joe's actual ideas.

8. that was my point in debate thread 6
And "Joe's" taxes would increased under Obama because he COULD be making $250,000?! Oh, poor thing!

What portion of voters are small business owners making over $250,000?
Wonder what's the size of that demographic?

I thought McLame was hurting himself.

Btw, did anyone see Ari Fletcher on Jon Stewart say that Obama said that 45% of the country shouldn't pay taxes. That Obama was trying to redistribute wealth?! Gawd, I laughed so hard.
What a frikin' hypocrite!!

9. This guy was on our radio today and he's just confused
I'm in Washington state and he was interviewed on 97.3 Kiro...I like the hosts around Dori...but...i was driving home from volunteering at the Democratic headquarters..anyway.

This guy actually told the host that he would be luckly to clear $100,000. This year. In otherwords he is below the $250,000 mark. He went on to talk about how Obama will tax anyone making over that $42,000 mark. The same figure that McCain tried to bring up. I think that is the figure that comes into play with the alternate tax.

Joe Plummer..who happened to live next door to the guy that Obama was door knocking in Ohio, lives in a neighborhood with houses from $80,000 to $150,000 at the high end and will be luckly to clear $100,000. In otherwords, he actually will be helped by Obama...but he's been listening to the rightwing talk about taxes and tell for it.

Sigh...he sounded more confused then anything else and loving the attention he was suddenly getting.
