McCain's biggest mistake--he let go of John Weaver and Mark Mckinnon, do you know why?

They wanted to run a independent and non traditional republican campaign and McCain said no. David Brooks just said that's what they wanted.

Huge epic mistake on McCain's part.

1. McKinnon left on purpose--he didn't want to campaign against Obama

4. because that's not the campaign he wanted to run, McCain f'd up large, he could have

run the way he did in 99 and 2000 and he would have had a better shot, those two advisor's would have told him to keep voting against Bush policy but McCain decided to throw in with those that kneecapped him.

3. Mckinnon wanted to run against Hillary

I think he had the playbook all written up for four years, ready to go when HIllary was nominated, but then OOPS! Plans changed. He wasn't so keen on running against Obama.
