Obama's campaign must feel Montana is back in play......
Edited on Wed Oct-15-08 05:49 PM by Wetzelbill
Joe Biden has mentioned the state several times in his two live online stump speeches today. They must be getting good internal polling there.

I think it's viable, last poll a week or so ago had McCain up by five. However, MT has a significant Indian voting block and they are extremely excited about Obama. Also, popular Dem politicians Senator Max Baucus and Governor Brian Schweitzer are up for reelection this year and expect to win handily. This Indian turnout and Baucus and Schweitzer supporters might carry Obama over the top. It's plausible.

3. That would be incredible...
And the naysayers during the primaries thought it would come down to the same battleground states as the last couple of elections. Shame on them.

6. Obama is almost rewriting the map for Dems
He has to get it done on election night, but wow, impressive so far. Who would have that a black man would be able to appeal to so many demographics? I am proud of this country, it proves we still have plenty of bright spots. :)

He's the Constitution Party nominee.

10. Don't forget "flat top" Jon Tester. He is one of my favorite new senators.
I always thought MT should be in play. I know Missoula is Obama territory.

12. He's definitely an asset
Yes Missoula is traditionally a Dem stronghold. Missoula and the last few votes on my reservation, the Blackfeet, put Tester in the senate. Maybe they'll do it for The Big O this time too. :)
