Every time this nation DESPERATELY needs leadership, providence has provided it

In 1788.... a young republic needed a strong leader to "set the template". Providence gave us George Washington.

In 1860.... a nation divided needed a strong leader to guide it through its darkest hour and preserve the union. Providence gave us Abraham Lincoln.

In 1932.... a nation battered by a severe depression needed a strong leader to help the nation pull itself up by its bootstraps. Providence gave us Franklin Roosevelt.

In 2008.... we need Barack Obama.

Approximately every 75 years this nation hits a crisis point where a new leader, one unlike all those that came before him, is required.

And the fates have provided us with one each time.

America, at its darkest hours, always finds the right person for the job.

President Obama is that person.

2. If Adams hadn't been President (even with his mistakes), we'd have no country now

And his work set the path for Jefferson's.

But I agree with your contention -- it's weird that way, isn't it? We needed Obama more than ever now and here he is (no doubt by sheer dumb luck but all the same).

2000 this theory failed us miserably.
2001 9/11 this theory failed us miserably.
2004 this theory failed us miserably.

5. Actually.. the "every 72 years thing" means that it SHOULD have occurred in 2004....

...but Barack wasn't ready yet.

6. So, Providence sided with rigged voted machines and vote stealing? No. That was McAuliffe and

his stewardship of the DNC which meant sitting on his hands for the four years after 2000s theft while the RNC and GOP officials gained control of every level of the election process where the votes are allowed, cast and counted.

Rove and his thugs kept Bush in office and McAuliffe's DNC let them do it....and many of us believe he did it deliberately. It's Dean and those who supported Dean's chairmanship who wanted to change what was happening in elections - and we all worked since Jan 2005 to make it happen by strengthening party infrastructure that had been collapsed for years.

Obama and ALL Dem candidates since 2006 have been able to benefit from these new Dem muscles state by state.
