Obama will just have to win 1 of these states ( as he is far ahead in other SO CALLED battle ground states.. I.E. IA,MN,WI,PA,MI) McCain will have to run the table.. I am still nervous that due to Republican shenanigans he just might.

1. You forgot MO and IN. And I think he needs more than Nevada
If he wins all the Kerry/Gore states plus Nevada it ends in a tie, 269-269. Because of the way the House vote is structured if a presidential election is decided in Congress, Democratic control does not guarantee that Obama would win. And if they did select Obama it could make some House Democrats in conservative districts vulnerable if they vote for Obama when their district went heavily for McCain.

3. Have you seen the CNN electoral map this morning?! Egads they are really
in full throated ignore the poll mode.

Concentrating on swing and "battleground" states, some of which Obama holds a commanding lead.

They even played an electoral college game in which they showed the possibilities of a Mccain win, disregarding current polling numbers.

Sickening.

6. I am counting Iowa and New Mexico.
When I said the Kerry/Gore states, I meant all the states that either Kerry or Gore won. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

7. well, not exactly, he needs NM and IA too which were Bush states in 2004
Bush had 286 EVs in 2004, walk back from there. IA is 7 NM is 5 both look pretty safe making it 274 so yes, adding NV is a tie.

The polls are trending a little better in CO than NV but both look good.

And VA looks very good.

I never thought I'd say it, I'd completely written off FL but we very well may win there.

We may have a "win" on election night when the polls close in the East. If Obama takes FL, OH, NC or VA it is so over.

9. Run the table, ha!!!
Nothing but a massive implosion of Obama's campaign and/or a scandal with Obama smack dab in the middle of it with his hands caught in the cookie jar would result in that kind of massive surge of support for McCain.
Although I'm generally a firm believer of "It ain't over until the fat lady sings", the fat lady is DEFINITELY warming up!

Minnesota is NOT a tossup. It's only considered a tossup for their "horse race" crap.

And even with Minnesota going to McSucker, Obama still wins on their frigging map.
