Obama will mention McCain's pro-ACORN speech two years ago if Johnny tries that line.

This will be fun.

1. I wouldn't bet on that

I figure Obama already has a response or two to the Ayers thing, and he's had them probably since around the 2nd debate. He and Biden have been goading McCain into bringing it up at the next debate probably for that very reason.

edit: wouldnt bet on the Saddam thing, that came to light just recently, after the 2nd debate.

2. McCain is a true patriot
His entire strategy was to win the primary, then throw the general.

4. the two are not equivalent
Obama has not palled around with any terrorists

and to go defensive by charging that McCain 'also' hung out with terrorists does not properly address McCain's smear against Obama

McCain palled around with terrorists but Obama has not done so

the two issues need to be kept separate

(not sure if I'm articulate right this second)

5. McCain can't logically broach that topic at the debate.

People care about substantive issues not about dirty politics.
