WHERE IS OSAMA?
The smart thing Rove does is he goes after a person's supposed strength. That is why he smeared Kerry's war record.

Kerry should take Bush's strength head on. What is Bush's strength? Supposedly the "war on terra" and the fact that he is a "strong leader"

How do you counteract that?

Bush has had three years to get the man that killed 3000+ of our citizens. He has failed. On September 11th, Kerry should ask - "Where is Osama Bin Laden and why hasn't he been brought to justice? If I were President - that would be and will be my number one priority."
I know some of you think Bush has Osama on ice. Bull. They don't have him and they can't get at him. He is probably safe in Pakistan protected by the Pakistian Secret Service. And frankly, even though this is a bold move, Kerry is in some trouble - not as much as people think but some. Time for some bold moves.

The other is that Bush is a strong leader. Now Kerry can't go after this directly but his surrogates can. Need a commercial showing Bush's reaction in the classroom on 9/11. Need to commercials showing that he did not react when he was warned in the Summer of 2001. Pound him on being someone who gets scared, who shirked his duty, and who doesn't pay attention.

Finally, WE ARE THE UNDERDOGS. Didn't matter where we were two weeks ago, we are where we are. We have to fight like crazy. Yesterday, I donated $300 to the DNC, today I am going to volunteer for ACT. Let's keep positive because the alternative is to give up and have four more years of Bush. Not acceptable. Bush is our generation's Nixon. Do you really want to look back and say you gave up?

1. Bush isn't concerned
"I truly am not that concerned about him."

4. Embarrassment
That was a very dark day for George Bush, making a totally idiotic statement like that. Actually.....he is always making idiotic statements, so everyday must be a dark day in the life of Dubya.

2. I wholeheartedly concur
In fact, I would do an ad in which average looking working folks look into the camera and ask, "Where's Osama?" No voiceover. Just 10 or 12 people in each ad asking, "Where's Osama?"

Osama ain't on ice.

3. I don't know about that strategy.

1) They may not have him on ice, but what if he was captured next month?

2) If Kerry is elected, will the "where's Osama" be turned on him?

3) I think there are other issues folks are more worried about, jobs, overtime pay, outsourcing, health care, retirement, to name a few, that Bush is probably vulnerable on.

5. Because if Osama is captured now, Kerry will lose anyway.
If Osama is captured this or next month - well, does ANYONE here thing that Bush won't be re-elected? The media will fall to it's knees and worship the chimp into a second term. ("He has kept us safer. Halleluia! Now I don't have to feel so guilty about helping cheerlead us into war.")

Kerry's literally got nothing to lose on this. He should USE this issue. Might as well go for bold.

6. I heard one of the cable news networks say this morning that OBL's
capture could come at "any time". Translation--Rove is going to dig him up before the election--that will be their final act in defeating K/E.
