Kerry is in our town for an Obama campaign rally today. I just happened to be walking down the sidewalk as the van pulled up to drop him off. I extendied my hand to welcome him and got to chat for a minute or two before he was swept off to a presser. Made my day.
5. yeah, after I said 'Welcome, Senator" I wasn't really expecting him to turn around to chat
When he did I mumbled something stupid about not seeing him since 2004 (as if he would've remembered me from a crowd of thousands :eyes:), thanks for supporting Obama, and "enjoy your visit."
I was very excited to meet Howard Dean, one of my favorite political figures, a couple of weeks ago. Election season is a very vibrant and exciting time indeed!
