Are the soldiers voting yet?
We got like what, at least half a million soldiers stationed around the world, right?

Every last one of them should be voting Obama.

1. What they should do and what they will do are two different things.
All too many of them believe that since McCain was a vet, then he must be their man and they don't look any further than that. I have a 19 year old godson who is in one of the worst places in Afghanistan and he claims to hate politics, so I would guess that he is not voting. He is very happy about the new GI Bill and I told him that he should thank the Democrats for it. But he is willingly ignorant so I cannot say that I am unhappy that he is not voting. Willingly ignorant people usually vote Republican.

4. These kids are pressured and force fed propaganda from the very
beginning. My daughter and her husband were stationed in Germany and they told me about the pressure and it is hard to resist.

7. Last week I went to see the Vets for Obama who had a meeting here in La Crosse.
One of the guys there had been in the Rangers in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He said that in the 2000 primaries he was a McCain supporter. In 2004 he was in the service and he said that he let people in the military know that he was supporting Kerry, that he made the "mistake" of telling that he was supporting Kerry. One can only imagine what his experiences may have been.

6. My little brother is in Afghanistan right now
and is STILL waiting on his ballot to vote! I sent him the link to do a federal write in backup ballot just in case the official one doesn't get to him in time. He's from MA and the town was still waiting on the ballots last time my mum called them. :-(

And I know for a fact he's voting Obama! We've already got the hotel and train tickets to go to the inauguration! (He'll be back late December) After the election I'm going to look into how to get a good spot for the swearing in ceremony.

If you know anyone who is overseas (military or civilian) and still hasn't gotten their ballot send them the following link: http://www.fvap.gov/
