Mark Latham ( Australia) calls for campaign suspension on 9/11
As a sign of respect for the World Trade Centre tradgedy Australian Labor Party's Mark Latham has caled for a suspension in Australia of all political campaigning for the day. Australians' will have a General Election in 6 weeks.

What are the chances of the same thing happening in the USA?

2. Yeah, Bush'll do it.
But then he and Cheney will go to all kinds of 9/11 memorials, and talk about how much "safer" we've become since then and how we're getting the "evildoers" who were responsible.

So essentially, they'll be campaigning.

Kind of like how Ridge slipped in the comment about Bush's "strong leadership" when announcing the terra alert.

3. How about a Labour/Green coalition in Australia?
I would love it. I especially love to see the heckler who yelled at Bush during his visit to Canberra to get a cabinet post. wouldn't the Bushites crap their pants at a left-leaning coalition taking over Australia?

5. it could very well happen although the Greens are only in the
Upper House but Bob Brown ( who yelled at Bush) should pick up 10 seats there and hold the balance of power..no right wing policies will get by while they are there.

6. There's no point, for two reasons -
1) The Greens don't have any seats in the House of Representatives, so a coalition would add 0 seats to Labor.
and
2) The Greens are nuts. Passionate idealogues with great ideas and absolutely no idea how to pay for them.
