Obama not the only candidate associated with ACORN - the plot thickens
http://www.newshounds.us/2008/10/13/obama_not_the_only_candidate_associated_with_acorn_the_plot_thickens.php

I was going to add this tidbit as an addendum to the most recent post about FOX and Friends making accusations against ACORN but decided it needs to stand alone. ACORN, tired of being maligned by the right, has reminded us that in 2006 at a rally they co-sponsored in support of comprehensive immigration reform, their keynote speaker was Senator John McCain (R-AZ). This should put a serious dent in the argument that ACORN is farleft, partisan, and out to "do harm," i.e. steal the election for Barack Obama.

Ben Smith at Politico.com reports

"The immigration event, which other photos show was packed with red-shirted Acorn member, was co-sponsored by the local Catholic Archdiocese, the SEIU, and other groups.

McCain, still spiting much of his party on immigration at the time, was the headliner.

Bertha Lewis, Acorn's chief organizer, said in a statement that came with the photo, “It has deeply saddened us to see Senator McCain abandon his historic support for ACORN and our efforts to support the goals of low-income Americans."

”We are sure that the extremists he is trying to get into a froth will be even more excited to learn that John McCain stood shoulder to shoulder with ACORN, at an ACORN co-sponsored event, to promote immigration reform," she said."

1. I love it, this information needs to be brought out on cable TV against wingnuts
The whole ACORN matter has not been brought up much on the mainstream TV news, but right wingers on cable have been going crazy over it. Maybe this revelation with shut them up good.

4. Do you reckon that McCain doesn't recall this event?
I'm thinking that he really doesn't remember all of the things he's said and done in the past; and he isn't aware that the "internets" is/are? packed with all kinds of info that prove him a liar or a demented person.
