Response to People Who Want to Discredit Obama
By Alaskan Jan Bobek
Clear thinking people with good hearts have a hard time understanding bigotry. You know it exists but there is no way, real understanding will occur. They are just not that kind of people.
Chris Mathews said on Oct. 11th, “…A guy is born with a Swahili name…This is really subtle politics...as an American immigrant, which is what we like in this country...Comes to the country with an African father.. Raised in difficult circumstances …Fights his way to the Ivy League...Becomes head of the Harvard Law Review ...Gets elected to the Illinois Senate. Does everything right, by our value system in this country…Hard work...Student...How about this? Intellectual curiosity, which is nice to have at this time…Does everything right and they go back and hit him for the name he was born with…”
Obama was born in the United States and did service on the south side of Chicago. When I was in high school I also provided arts and activities in the highrisers in Chicago. You can ridicule my service too as you did his.
Obama went to educational meetings where all types of people participated. I have read articles about World War II. You may question my ties to Hitler.
Clear thinking people want to talk about the failing economy, lost jobs, gas prices, solar energy, health care, and improved education. We are making plans to do our part. We want to ensure that every child can be in an environment where dreams do come true. Obama has done it, and so can we!
So all the things people have been sending, trying to discredit Obama, will go in the junk folder. Then I will say a prayer for you…maybe two.
