McCain's Speech
"i've been fighting for this country since I was seventeen and I've got the scars to prove it!"

(AUDIENCE GOES CRAZY! YAAAAAY)

"I'm not afraid to fight, I'm ready to fight!"

(AUDIENCE GOES CRAZY! YAAAAAY)

"I have a plan to hold the line on taxes and cut them!"

(AUDIENCE GOES CRAZY! YAAAAAY)

"I have a plan to create jobs at home"

(AUDIENCE GOES CRAZY! YAAAAAY)

What's the plan, John? Obama just outlined his step by step.

It's essentially "I won't do what Senator Obama wants to do, I'll do THIS instead".

1. Independents evenly split between BO and McSame......
just saw this headline on AP, then watching thousands cheer McSame in Virginia. I struckme.."What Country do these people live in?" Because it can't be the same country I live, or the same world. These people for McCain.. they must not drive a car or buy gas or have a 401k or they are totally unaware of the last 8 years? It truly boggles the mind?

4. Exactly. I keep thinking all people have to do is take a trip to the grocery store,
get gas, buy a hamburger, and then look at their checking account balance. It isn't complicated, and it seems so clear to me. I don't understand why they think McCain is going to help in any way. Boggles my mind, too.

As a DUer posted, these are the people that his/her father described as "Don't bother me with the facts. My mind is made up."

But I would think that the reality of their everyday lives would move them beyond that mind set.

5. he's recycling parts of his old speeches
The final of the speech- stand up with me my friends, fight with me..." is I believe from the late spring - early summer when he clinched the nomination... The music at the end - the Rocky one is from the same time too...

It is clear the campaign is trying to find something that have worked with them months ago and just repeat it, but times are different now...

So everything McFibber says must fit on a bumper sticker.
