McCain doesn't want an exchange of views for voters to decide- He wants to whup Obama
What a disgrace for this man to reduce our political dialog to some kind of a brawl. Now that McCain's declared that he intends to 'whip' Obama in Wednesday's debate, voters will regard every one of his attacks as the antics of a desperate man looking for a fight rather than to inform them.

I shouldn't be amazed, but McCain has no common sense at all. He's proven himself dumber than Bush. Either he stops strutting around like grandpa used to do when the garbage men left his cans in the street, or he's going to be laughed off of the stage.

1. We could always go Burr style
And make the candidate duel to see who wins the debate. Personally, I think it'd be somewhat interesting to watch actually.

2. or, they could just stick to informing voters of their intentions and record
something that actually involved our lives and respected the investments that we have in our government

3. or, they could turn it into a giant "He has more _____ associations than I"
Which in reality is what is going to happen most likely.

Although yours is a close second choice.

4. I shouldn't have been amazed, by I have been. In the campaign, he's actually WORSE than Bush.
That's pretty damn hard to do.

This rabble rousing of his is so much worse than even the Swift Boats, because of the potential for people to be harmed or killed. But he doesn't give a shit.

5. You're right, his attacks enouraged that angry man in Wisconsin
Cable television shows keep running the clip of him ranting about creeping "socialism." The Washington Post highlights him in its "Anger Is Crowd's Overarching Emotion at McCain Rally" story. Bloggers are writing about him, talk radio is talking about him, and he's a genuine YouTube star. We speak, of course, of Angry Waukesha Man, the older fellow who gave McCain a piece of his mind at the candidate's town hall meeting Thursday in Waukesha.

"I'm mad. I'm really mad, and what may surprise you is it's not the economy," began angry Waukesha man, one hand on the microphone, one hand on his hip.

"It's the socialists taking over our country," he continued.

The crowd of 4,200 went wild.

6. He tried exchange of views. It didn't work: Obama refused to . . .
spontaneously combust. Then he picked Palin (who is actually much more likely to burst into flames, as it turns out).

Then he started up the chant: "ter-ror-ist! so-shul-ist! e-lee-tist!" and all that got him was scorn, derision, and plummeting approval ratings.

So now he's moved on to "whupping." For the life of me, I can't visualize what that's going to look like. Given how erratic he is, it's unlikely to be pretty.

8. Have you ever seen a grandpa standing in the middle of the kitchen
. . . fists balled and spitting out a string of epithets to the floor over his missing favorite cup?
