What's with all the concern lately?
All the national tracking polls show us up 6-8 points, we have a large lead in Colorado, Pennsylvania, Michigan, etc. We have leads in Nevada, Virginia, Florida, Ohio, heck, even North Carolina.

Why so pessimistic?

4. There were a couple of trolls on earlier that said Drudge suggested Zogby was going to tighten
tomorrow to 4 points. Otherwise I don't know why. Zogby is only one of like 10 polls and he is the out-lier.

7. People don't know how to react
It's strange for us to have a Democrat winning a Presidential election by this margin so close to the election. People are freaking out.

I don't see how a little 'concern' is unreasonable.

12. concern about a stolen election..
is reasonable. But not many people really care about that until after the election is over.

31. Yes..they use computerized voting..
with paper ballots, and have standard audits after each and every election. I'm not sure of the percentage of ballots they hand count, but it is significant. I think we have one of the least accurate, least secure voting systems going.

18. I agree!
Too many posts expressing concerns about things so far in the future, it sucks! One concerned poster even 'worried' about there being only one term for Obama! :wtf:
Get a grip people! Chill out! Doubt and fear are poison in the community well!:hide:
Keep a lid on all the concerns please! Live in the NOW - there is work to be done!

16. For me it is a combination of things...
Some people are way too cocky. Yes we are ahead but things can change. We need to make sure we widen the gap. Elections can be stolen. The youth vote could not show up as strongly as we want it to. McCain's insane BS could stick.

We are not home free yet. There is still a large group of undecided voters. We need to work hard on that.

I don't see it as fear so much as seriously acknowledging that we still have some serious work ahead if we want to win big. IMO we can't afford to spend this time planning our inauguration parties. Let that happen later.

26. You've touched on some points that keep popping up in my mind, too.
I won't really rest easy until McCain gives his conession speech and the election is certified. Eight years ago I would have been wildly optimistic, but two terms of Bush have put a damper on that.

20. Because we've been
optimistic before. And got screwed.

As far as I'm concerned it isn't over til it's over. 3 weeks is a lifetime in politics. Think Carter/Reagan. A lot can and probably will happen. Obama has handled every punch thrown at him with grace and dignity.

He's the odds on favorite, but so was Big Brown favored to win the Triple Crown. And we all know how that went. Honestly, I try not to be cynicle but I don't have a lot of faith in the wisdom and intelligence of the American people. They voted for Bush in large numbers both times. One can argue that these elections were stolen, but they shouldn't have even been close enough to steal.

Sorry, but I can't rest easy. Not yet. Not until the election is actually certified.

24. Hmm. That makes sense. I saw a post on here that expressed "concern" about a renewed McCain, and lo
and behold. It's a Drudge headline.

P.S. "A renewed McCain", isn't that funny? What, they're going to give him more embalming fluid?
