He's whupping the hell out of the McCain campaign right now. And he personally tore into Rick Davis today on Fox Noise.

Obama's campaign is tough as nails. He didn't beat Hillary for nothing, that was a taller order than McCain actually. I still can barely believe he beat her for the Dem nomination. Wow.

No wonder Obama's campaign is smacking around McCain's right now. These people can handle their business.

1. Is it true that you and Kurovski are trying to steal him from Obama?

10. Axelrod is the number one person on Obama's team.
He has done an excellent job without having to resort to lies or smears. Goes to show you that there is difference between Democrats and Republicans.

12. Robert Gibbs is no slack, either
The Communications Director (I believe his title) did a masterful job turning the tables on Hannity regarding the Ayers issue, demanding to know if Hannity was an anti-Semite since he had one on his show.

The whole Obama team will go down as one of the best in political history.

14. The only time Begala is right is by accident... remember, he mocked Howard Dean's 50 state strategy
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 02:07 PM by chicagoexpat
in service to his masters, who pay his salary.

And by impication mocked the strategy Axelrod & Obama are following,w hen he thought it might help him out in his pocketbook.

He's just hoping to save some of his influence peddling business for when Obama wins.

Note an old quote from Paul Begala (2006) denigrating Dean's strategy, which Obama has embraced:

Yes, Dean's in trouble, in that campaign managers, candidates, are really angry with him. He has raised $74 million and spent $64 million. He says it's a long-term strategy. But what he has spent it on, apparently, is just hiring a bunch of staff people to wander around Utah and Mississippi and pick their nose. That's not how you build a party.

We can't go forward unless we recognize who and what have worked to hold us back.

23. Yes he could because the Obama team is compassionately precise in its attacks
on the failing policies that brought us to this national low point, which his opponents would continue.

He urges us to eschew diving into the slime and keep our parries neat and strong, targeted at policies we all need to move beyond, such as the flatly false, all washed up, 25 years wrong Trickle Down economics.

It seems that the Obama team is asking me to join with them in addressing the ways in which we can help the wealth Percolate Up for a while. And believe me, we've seen it before. Help out the middle class and poor by investing in national infrastructure, for example, and the prosperity just bubbles right up. And fires up national ingenuity to re-calculate together, beyond party lines, shared values and the dreaded cost benefit ratios on sustaining them. Is high speed and highly networked mass transit system not in our national interest? How does that compare with perhaps closing one tenth of our international military bases and buying 1/10 less weapons for three years?

Precision seems to be a key word to the Obama team. I really appreciate that. No Drama Obama.

Axelrod (my favorite), Plouffe, Rice and Gibbs.

About a month or so ago I sent them a note praising the team.
