McCain Having Buyer's Remorse Over Palin
Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 11:33 AM by kpete
McCain has become alarmed about the fury unleashed by Sarah Palin, the moose-hunting “pitbull in lipstick,” against Senator Barack Obama. Cries of “terrorist” and “kill him” have accompanied the tirades by the governor of Alaska against the Democratic nominee at Republican rallies.

...Palin, 44, has led the character attacks on Obama in the belief that McCain may be throwing away the election and her chance of becoming vice-president. Her supporters think that if the Republican ticket loses on November 4, she should run for president in 2012.

A leading Republican consultant said: “A lot of conservatives are grumbling about what a poor job McCain is doing. They are rolling their eyes and saying, ‘Yes, a miracle could happen, but at this rate it is all over.'

“Sarah Palin is no fool. She sees the same thing and wants to salvage what she can. She is positioning herself for the future. Her best days could be in front of her. She wants to look as though she was the fighter, the person with the spunk who was out there taking it to the Democrats.”

1. The Wells Fargo Wagon rolled up McCain's street and out came Sarah Palin.
You ordered it, Senator. Enjoy!

3. I subscribe to that take also. He just rolled over. At the moment when
he was at the helm of the ship he kowtowed to the nutbags and let them shove Sarah Palin onto the deck.

He was reported to have preferred either Lieberman or Ridge and the next thing he knew he was stuck with a wolf-slaughtering Armageddonist with the brains of a cement block.

7. As a mason, I have laid over 2 million cement blocks.
They have no brains, but they are very useful, so don't insult the lowly cement block with a comparison to Palin. LOL.

9. "To all the cement blocks out there reading these boards,
I do humbly apologize for my association of your kind with the vacuous Sarah Palin. It was an ill-considered slam on the dignity and purpose of cement blocks everywhere, and I am deeply sorry to have besmirched the reputation of useful items with the Governor of Alaska."

4. Ewwww
I'm so sick of hearing about her "future" I want her to go away. Is she that deluded, she thinks she's presidential material, that she would do anything but cause harm and probably catastrophe for the country she professes to love? NOT a good sign.

Sarah, if you love your country as you say you do, even if you think you love it more than anybody in the whole wide world, gosh darn it-- seriously, woman to woman here--get the fuck out of politics.

5. It may be the only remorse he has known in a long, long time.
His war that killed hundreds of thousands? His participation in the crash of the economy? His cheerleading for the rape of the environment? Nothing.

Eating the consequences of a ludicrous pick of a running mate? If he's actually feeling any remorse, we should treasure it. He loses no sleep over the rest of his ruinous career.

18. how reprehensible
according to some posts above this one, concrete blocks are sentient beings (compared to Fertilla the Huntress, anyway) so sending one of them to its death is just wrong.

Edited on Sun Oct-12-08 01:27 PM by nomaco-10
I for see a long line of committee hearings for unethical behavior due to troupergate and investigations into how her house got built (shades of ted stevens) til she's booted out of the governor's office and the next time we hear her name, it will be an answer to a trivial pursuit question.

14. This may be a good time for McCain to release some anger
in Palin's direction.

The Sunday talkshows spent much time on the racist dialogue of the McCain/Palin rallies, which means more bad press for them.

15. She would get torn to shreds in the Republican Primary debates..
Romney, Ron Paul ect... would quickly turn her into a Pinata'

Plus she would (I think) have to give press interviews with
no scripts, no teleprompters.
That could get very ugly, very quickly> (Or hilarious from our
perspective!)

There's a quote somewhere to that effect. What pisses me off is he doesn't mind gambling with OUR future.
