So, it's obvious they're trying to make William Ayers into the Willie Horton of this election.

Lee Atwater must be laughing in his grave.

1. I had no idea who Ayers was before this all began, and now I kinda think he's cool nt

2. It would have clicked in by now if it was going to work.
I think they took it too much over the top, but that's what the Right Wingers do. Steve Schmidt, Rove protege extraordinaire, is living in 2004. The country, or most of it, has moved on.

3. The RW followers seem to have memorized the word "Ayers" very well,
although I bet you less than 1% of them could actually say his first name or tell you anything about him.

5. Some people just hate. That's they're reason for being.
And many of them, all the while, proclaim their love for Jesus. These people have poisoned the Republican party for years to come, and were lost to Obama anyway. Now that the true nature of the Right Wing diehards is revealing itself, I don't think many Americans want to be identified with them. Kind of like the Schiavo fiasco--80% of Americans thought the whole right wing involvement was abhorrent.

6. Exactly--it's funny how every shill on Fox sez "How did he NOT know a terrorist when he saw one?!"
Because the vast, VAST majority of people in this country had no idea who he was before this election, and wouldn't recognize him if he came up and shook their hand at a party.

4. Notice you don't see photos of Ayers in the ads
like you did Horton. Could it be because Ayers doesn't look that scary? Or because he's not black, and the repukes hope their supporters don't know that?
