What is Considered a landslide?

If Obama wins by 5-7 percent and about 100 electoral votes is that a landslide? :shrug: What would Obama have to win by for it to be considered a landslide?

4. I'd say if he takes both OH & FL... as well as

3 of the other Bush states.. CO, VA, NC. If he gets those.. that's a landslide.. that's a huge reversal from the past 8 years. And, I think he has a shot!

I think it's officially a landslide if you cross 400 electoral votes.

That's a 60-40 split on the Electoral Votes.

8. Bush Sr. beat Dukakis by 7.7. That was a landslide.

9. A 200-EV margin of victory IMO. In other words, 369-169 and up. I could also see an

argument for 359-179 and up, since that is the point where the winning candidate has won by over a 2 to 1 margin in the Electoral College.
