Riddle Me This: How Does Man Get Large Stuffed Monkey Past Secret Service?
Obviously the Secret Service is at all these rallies with the presidential and vice presidential candidates.

There is screening going on to check for weapons.

How in the world does a man bring a large stuffed monkey to a Palin rally?

Unless those putting on the event cleared the man with the Secret Service to allow him to bring in the stuffed monkey.

2. Maybe the SS knows that no Democrat would do violence to
McLame and CariBOO Barbie. So their "crowds" can bring in whatever they want.
There ARE, however, "people" who obviously DO want to harm Senator Obama, egged on by McLame and CariBOO Barbie, so I bet security is tighter at Obama's rallies.

3. are you saying a large stuffed monkey should be confiscated as a weapon?
This is a freedom of speech issue.

I find it offensive but the asshole has the right to demonstrate his blatant racism at the rally if he wants to

7. I read an interview with the guy McCain insulted at the last debate
They were not allowed to bring their own cameras. They were given disposable cameras to use, for security purposes.

It is not possible to get close to a candidate without screening. A large stuffed animal could easily conceal a weapon.

11. My experience based on working Kerry and Edwards events is: HE DOESN'T
unless it was brought in by the candidate himself. It's just too big a risk.

18. The guy is obviously ashamed of himself but doing it anyway
I agree its freedom of speech and he should be allowed to do it if he wants, but you can tell by the way he hides it when he sees the camera and the look of shame on his face that he realizes its a shameful act. This is grown man who is 50+, not some kid. He wanted to deliver his racist message when he thought he could do it in relative anonymity amongst other McCain supporters who he figures share his racism. Yet as soon as he sees a camera he realizes "uh oh, now other people will see I'm a racist too, better hide this". That's the saddest part about it in my opinion, its not just that it is a shameful act, he KNOWS its a shameful act and is doing it anyway, it also tells you that he figures all McCain supporters are racists as well.

9. That's not a nice way to refer to our current president

13. The monkey was indistinguishable from other McCain supporters

That's like asking how a Muslim managed to "sneak into Mecca".

14. That's Curious George, I bought one for my 2-year-old son a couple months ago
Here is some video of the guy and the monkey; he notices he is on camera and disposes of his "props".

15. It wasn't large
A foot long at the most. All it takes is a bend or two to determine that there's nothing inside.
