How Come the Kerry Team Isn't All Over
this Chalabi probe?

How come we don't have surrogates everywhere, even Fox, questioning the competence of this administration that would be so close to Chalabi, go to war in his Intel, and now Chalabi is in bed with Iran.

Tie this to Plame, the Israeli spy case, the New Mexico Nuclear secrets that have disappeared, and Bang him over the head.

No one knew about WMDs that didn't exist, lack of 9/11 connections with Saddam, Plame, Chalabi, Israeli intel, New Mexico Lab.

As a matter of fact, Bill Richardson wouldn't be a bad choice to start this criticism.

We're just not hitting them early enough, hard enough, or often enough. They have to lie to go negative on Kerry, all we have to do is tell the truth.

I'm really pissed off today. Bush is lucky that DU is not running the Kerry campaign, Bush would be lucky to carry Texas.

1. I'm pissed off, too
I'd love to see someone go after Bush on that. Josh Marshall has urged that repeatedly.

This asshole could be cut up in so many ways, and they attack Kerry on second hand bullshit from 35 years ago, that ain't even true.

2. You know, this is what bugs me.........................
about the Democratic Party. Al Gore won the Dem nomination in 2000 and it seemed as though the rest of the party, Congressmen, Senators, etc., left him twisting in the wind.

Any charges or statements made by the repubs that needed to be rebutted were only rebutted by Al Gore. It seemed as though Gore was out there on the frontlines by his lonesome, fending off each and every attack. Slowly, the repubs wore him down.

Shortly after the Dem Convention, Kerry had a lot of surrogates, but lately it seems as though the Dems have abandoned him, again. Is it because he's picked a VP?

One thing about the repubs or neocons or nazis or whatever the hell they are - the party leader is a moron but everyone in his party is running interference for him and fending off us Dems.

Dems that are elected officials need to learn how to hang together long enough to get something accomplished and get a Dem elected before sauntering away to pursue their personal interests. Sorry to ramble, but I had to get this off my chest.

4. Exactly
Where the f**k are the Dems.

Get on these cable shows and attack Bush.

I just saw Ed Randell on Chris Mathews. He was just great.

Bill Richardson, Hillary, Boxer, Graham of Fla., Dean, Sen. Biden, where are these guys and gals?

The Repugs can trot out assholes to lie about our guy and we can't find folks to tell the truth about their's.

6. This is so true........................
"The Repugs can trot out assholes to lie about our guy and we can't find folks to tell the truth about their's."

The only people we can get to tell the truth about the scum in the Oval Office is the "FAKE" news. And sometimes CountDown.

5. Our WORST problem is the media...
I don't know if the Dems will ever win unless some progressives start buying out the media outlets.

7. I completely agree with you.
And hey, if the media won't cover one of these guys speaking up -- well, how many guys (and gals) speaking up WOULD it take? How much drip, drip, drip of interviews with this as a theme before it finally finds it's way into the mainstream press?

I DO NOT understand! Are all the Democrats out there now, speaking, and no one's covering it? Or are they just laying low and not getting involved?

Someone smarter help me out here!

8. The Chalabi Probe ONLY WORKS FOR THE REPUBLICANS
"See? We didn't lead you to war without reason, that dastardly Ahmed Chalabi LIED to us. Who can blame us for that? It's not our fault, can't blame us. Blame that Chalabi guy."

My argument with Freeper coworkers is always thus:

--I can prove to you that the administration KNEW there were no WMDs.

--How?

--Remeber a couple of years ago, when I TOLD YOU that there were no WMDs? Well, I figured that out by reading the fucking newspaper. Now, I'm guessing that Dubya has better sources than the Internet, and yet I still managed to figure it out...

--Um, uh, stammer...The Iraqis are free! What about THAT, huh?

--We didn't go to war over freedom, now did we?

--Clinton went to Somalia, what about that?

--Oh, is Bill Clinton running for re-election?

--Well, they might still find the WMDs. Besides, Chalabi lied to Bush, so it's not his fault

The only response I ever got to the WMD question was "Well, do you belive everything you read? Only an idiot believes everything he reads."

I would suggest that DUers are generally better informed and generally better at critical thinking than the 55 percent of Americans that can't understand anything other than a six second sound bite, a thirty second campaign commercial, or the phrase "my country, right or wrong -- my country." What's a good tactic for us is not necessarily a good tactic for America in general.
