GOP Strategist: It's Over, Obama Will Win In Landslide
http://www.jedreport.com/2008/10/top-gop-strategist-its-over-ob.html

Ed Rollins ran Ronald Reagan's presidential campaign in 1984, so he knows a thing or two about landslides -- and he's predicting one for Barack Obama. At this point, he says the only question left to answer is whether John McCain will take the Republican Party down with him.

1. It'll take more than McCain... it'll take willing Republicans to go with him.
Some are starting to wise up.

2. The only question left is whether or not the GOP can pull off a theft and, if they do,
whether the nation is still gullible enough to believe the "official results".

19. On November 5, I may believe they can't steal it. Until then, no dice.
They stole some, but not all of the seats that the Dems won in 2006, so it is possible that Obama's lead is too great for them to steal the election, but we are 4 weeks from election day I won't believe they can't steal it until after Obama has won.

20. Are you old enough to remember the summer of 1968?
Steal this election and the rioting would make that look like a picnic.

Personally, I think that the polls are underestimating Obama's lead because African American turnout will be rediculous.

I'm taking the day off work so I can drive people to the polls.

22. Steal this election and the first da will look like Chicago. The second day
will look like Prague.

Why you think they got an infantry brigade all set up for homeland duty?

27. I'm a mild mannered gen x presbyterian minister
If this election is stolen by the Cheney-Rove Repub. machine, I will be out in my small town with placards and signs protesting on Main Street. I'm ready to roll if need be.

Not this time. '00 & '04 - never again.

28. Not really. I was 3-years-old in '68 and my favorite outfit had little flowers -
like my book "Fernando the Bull" and so I called the outfit my Fernando outfit.

As for post election riots, I believe that it is a very distinct possibility and that we need to run out into the streets first and demonstrate peaceful protest to try and keep the riots isolated if the situation arises.

It is possible that even the best effort on the part of the GOP won't be able to steal this election and so we will have peace.

If the GOP successfully manage to steal the election there will be public reaction -- and that is why there is a U.S. army division now tasked with handling rioters.

25. My prediction if it is a landslide...
The Republicans will angelically proclaim that just because it is a landslide doesn't mean that their voice shouldn't be heard and allowed to contribute to policy.

Their all for bipartisanship when they are in the minority, but when THEY have a majority (however minor) they are all for everyone having a say in how things are run...

16. Why do you have McCain getting one of Maine's EVs?
If Obama gets one of Nebraska's there is no way McCain will get on from Maine.

17. McCain is making a big push for that 1 EV though
and supposedly, Palin connects with that district so he'll fare better than Bush did the last two times he targeted it.

21. It's my one 'conservative' allowance that I made on this very optimistic map

Obama is aggressively going after the Omaha EV, and I think he's got an excellent chance of taking it. I'm not as familiar with the political action in Maine, so I gave McCain 1 EV there as well, as a token to the 20% backwash factor.

23. No you don't. Why should McCain take 1 EV from Maine?
That would require him campaigning better than every single Republican since Maine's EVs were split.

And that's not happening.
