I live in a small rural town in Maine, certainly not in Portland...I went to my local Doctors Office for an appointment...The country music was playing when I came in and the ladies behind the desk just glared at my Women for Obama T-shirt....and spoke to me with a sort of curt snippy-ness, I knew that I was in McCain Country..or Joe Six Pack Territory...
One of the receptionists was a very young African American Woman, who gracefully gave me a slight smile, and an ever so faint wink. Her smile and wink made my day......
