When Things Get Bad, Rs Always "Have No Choice" But To Do The WRONG Thing
So, the McSame campaign "has no choice' but to go negative these days. Really? Did they even consider going positive by offering a COGENT and detailed economic plan that would compete with that offered by Obama? Did they entertain even a passing thought that eschewing negative ads might gain them a few points in the polls?

Didn't think so.

It reminds me of what happened after the 9/11 attacks, when the Rs said they "had no choice" but to start eliminating our civil liberties. It would never occur to them that the best answer to those seeking to undo our way of life and our civil liberties would have been to INCREASE our liberties, by making gay marriage legal throughout the land, or by reigning in defense spending and spending that money on the citizenry and on efforts to help the less fortunate in the world.

There are always choices, ALWAYS. Unfortunately, the Rs continue to make the WRONG choice while seeking to justify their choice by stating that it was the only choice.

1. Look how America and Germany handled the Great Depression. USA got to work, Germany got Hitler.
We're watching that history repeat itself with Obama and McCain. Obama wants all Americans to pull together to try and work this out. McCain--he's just like Hitler who blamed German Jewish people for "stabbing" Germany in the back. McCain is practically doing the same with Obama and "liberals." In one commercial McCain actually blamed Obama for high oil prices. His commercials say that government is the problem when in fact, we see that government didn't do its job so greedy crooks ripped the world economy apart.

2. they have no Populist message -- so ultimately they are required to have a diversionary message
Gays

Abortions

Fear - Terra

Xenophobia

Personal / Character attacks

Whether it is Kerry, Gore, or Anne Richards -- the Republican message is never about IDEAS or POLICY, it will always be about personalities and playing off peoples' emotions and fears.

Rational discourse is a dead loser for the Repigs.
