Here's how good Paul Begala is... (re: ACORN)
Anyone looking to spin an issue for Democrats, just ask Begala. He has always had a special gift for the demolishing "25 words or less" frame.

On CNN last night someone said ACORN was implicated in the financial collapse.

Begala said:

ACORN represents poor people. Anyone who thinks poor people are responsible for this financial crisis is crazy.

3. That's good!
This guy should write for Obama.
These to the point one liners can be used to ruin your opponent.

4. Obama's campaign is wrong on this. Should not get entangled with ACORN.
Edited on Fri Oct-10-08 12:55 PM by Essene

Obama needs to stop getting entangled in this non-sense and be crystal clear that he'll not tolerate ANY messing around with the election.

They were irresponsible with voter registration, even if not intentional.

Imagine how YOU would feel seeing "spin" from the Mccain campaign if an ally was caught doing the same?

This is silly.

Obama's campaign absolutely needs to get away from ACORN.

I personally know ACORN. They are sloppy and get rabid. They bring in a ton of angry and sometimes irresponsible people with little to no oversight. ACORN is an overall good group and well intended.

But we cannot tap dance around even the PERCEPTION of improper election stuff.

7. Toe-ta-LEE!
I've always maintained: you don't "blame" the folks at the bottom of the financial system for god's sakes! They don't have that kind of power! It is, 1), up to goverment, corporations, and those with the most to lead by example, i.e., living within your means; and 2)you gotta be KIDDING if you think power is centered on the bottom economic rungs.

This became eminently clear to me during the debates of the Clinton presidency and prior about welfare moms, etc. Blaming them for economic problems...just doesn't ring true.

8. The gazelle gets eaten by the Cheetah...blame the gazelle?
That's been my spin.

How many folks that were qualified for a conventional mortgage were roped into these adjustable rates?
