I have a prediction: in the next 3 weeks, FOX NEWS will become the first cable network in HISTORY...
...to formally endorse a Presidential candidate.

And it won't be Barack Obama.

My only question is: CAN they do it without getting into trouble?

8. They won't because McCain is going to lose
so there's no point wasting your fake cred for his terrible campaign.

3. Why would they get into trouble? Everyone already knows they
support the Pubs no matter what they do. Just because they haven't stated it in those words doesn't matter!

5. They don't have to, it's no secret to anyone Fox is a republican network, owned, endorsing
bias by & for republicans....the sheep Republicans won't watch anything else, they need to hear the lies, it brings out their hate and only real reason for living.

6. Sure They Can...
Cable is not regulated by the FCC or any real content or campaign disclosure laws. They can do as they see fit. They can, just like a newspaper, make a formal endorsement, but what sense would it make? The interesting thing about the Murdoch family is that Rupert's daughter is an Obama supporter:

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/04/01/murdochs-daughter-hosts-obama-fund-raiser/

Methinks Rupert's no Gramps fan...they've had past run-ins with Rupert's media acquisitions when he was head of the Commerce Committee and IRC, Faux was all out for Rudeee until he imploded. A friend of mine who watches that sewer long ago mentioned that the network isn't as much pro Gramps as it is anti-Obama and all things Democrat.

7. That's an interesting question
Newspapers do it all the time. Do you know what the difference might be for TV stations?

10. I guess they'll need a new tag line...
Finally - everyone can stop pretending they are "fair and balanced."
