Recommend if you think "End of Days" Palin is dumb as a bag of rocks and her 841 SAT score matters
A dumb-as-rocks monkey charged us into Iraq, shredded our Constitution, killed our economy, destroyed our reputation, abandoned a great American city... it goes on and on.

Palin IS B*sh in a skirt... wildly self-confident and narcissist beyond her very limited intellectual capabilities and knowledge base. Even worse, she is a a nutty-fringe, speaking in tongues, End of Days Pentacostal...she doesn't read a damn newspaper, for G-d's sake (no, she reads ALL of them). And McCain is about as healthy as can be expected from a 72-year old, 4-time melanoma-sufferer who will not allow his medical records to be examined.

Her crappy test scores are as relevant to the electorate as Obama's stellar record at Harvard and tenure as the Editor of Harvard Law Review is... after all, Americans should KNOW what their choices are. Do they want their leaders to be the SMARTEST guys/gals in the room, or the most SUB-AVERAGE?

K&R if you give a crap about Palin's lousy SAT score, and think it is America's business.

1. I originally posted this but cannot verify its accuracy. . .
. . .I think its an awesome thing to ridicule, but its not worth our time to try to take it further than to focus on other real issues.

7. certainly, and thank you BTW...
it looks authentic enough and let the MSM debunk if not. I will not spend a nano-second on defending Palin's academic record... if the rumbling on the intertubes gets sufficiently loud let the campaign debunk it. FUCK HER. She and that geezer are inciting violence against our candidate, so I don't give a frickin' rat's ass to protect their reputations. FUCK THEM.

I will spend my time worring about Obama's safety and praying for our candidates.

2. If the SAT info can be verified, fine.
Until then, forget it. There is a TON of verified information that can be used to attack Palin. No need to rely on something that may not be true.

4. Exactly
And considering it's unlikely that it'll be verified quickly enough to matter, let's move on.

Fuck no
let MSM debunk it, I hate this giving up too soon shit, it looks
authentic to and thats what matters.

Every single time when Democrats try to do something, there is always
one MOFO thats sees it the Republican way.

These are not the time for that, they are in sighting violence and we are
suppose to lay back and take...ENOUGH!!!

8. 841 for the combined scores is PITIFUL
that means what? roughly 400 per math or per reading/verbal?

sorry if this offends but the scores range from 200-800 and 500 is considered low average

13. Look at the percentiles
If that's really her scores, she 72% of college bound seniors did better than her in reading comprehension.

Considering how she butchers English and probably doesn't believe in science at all!

10. considering she went to six colleges in five years...
that's not that surprising.

I'd of course rather wait for strong confirmation that that's real before passing it around, though, since there is so much else out there that proves how dumb she is.

I don't want to see this turn into the left-wing version of Obama's birth certificate.

11. Man, remind me to stay away from DU if I ever run for Congress or Pres/VP
Edited on Fri Oct-10-08 12:39 PM by Captiosus
I had a combined 860 on the SAT because, frankly, I just didn't give a shit. I was 17, it was Saturday morning, I didn't want to be there, and colleges had started putting SAT scores at the bottom tier of consideration for admissions. So I just blew through it so I could go home and go back to bed.

(Edit: I found my original SAT report.)

So does this mean I should give up any hope of running for any public office?
I don't think so.

I would rather joke about Palin for school hopping than for her SAT scores. I would rather see her college transcripts and joke about her GPA if it were barely above passing instead of her SAT results. SATs are, in my opinion, a bullshit metric. The valedictorian of the class of 1994 at my HS got a 1590 combined and a full scholarship to Harvard - where he promptly flunked out within two semesters, got kicked out and ended up paying his way at University of Virginia. That's a lot more damning than SAT scores.

16. I was there too.
Hideous SAT. I just didn't care.

But my GPA (at least at the time) was pure gold (except math, heheheh). I got offers from far better colleges than fucking Idaho.

As inherently intelligent as I am, I want someone that is smarter than me to be president. Someone who has maybe graduated at the top of the class at Harvard while holding a number of prestigious posts. Sorry Palin, you are EPIC FAIL!

18. At that time, however, SAT was not a bullshit metric -
SAT and GPA were basically the ONLY metrics before the 80s. There was no industry built up around training for the SATs - you just went and did them, and you got two chances, that was it.

Palin bounced around between 2nd tier state schools BECAUSE she didn't have the SATs.

As for running for office - go for it. As Mark Pryor said in Religulous, intelligence is not a requisite for congress (not an exact quote - just remembering it from seeing it last night).

20. True.

However, do you think the American electorate, other than us and those who share our outlook, would care about these?

Palin has displayed her ignorance in full public view, multiple times, even on "friendly" shows, such as Hannity, far better than some College Board document shows. I don't think releasing scores from 82 are going to change anyone's mind at this point.

At best, it's only good for entertainment value. ;)

Edit: Besides, I really don't want to go higher in public office than State Legislature. The national stage is way too stressful. I don't even know if I'd consider running for Governor. I'm hoping to make an official run in '09 for my district General Assembly seat, if only because I don't like seeing anyone run uncontested.

21. Quite true - her own words of day before yesterday are far more
relevant than a test taken 25 years ago - the test, while irrelevant, merely supports what we already know.

Best of luck with your political career. Based on the quality of the (admittedly limited) writing I've seen here, nobody's going to be going to your SATs for evidence that you are less that adequately prepared to serve. They only go to SATs or school records to look to vindicate already formed opinions. You are too well spoken to prompt such a probe.

I did 32 hours per week in a nursing home while I was in high school and managed to score better than that.

Canadian English, maybe? It couldn't have been Russian, since I understand she's fluent in it from having seen Russia once.

24. Do you know that standardized tests (like the SAT's) are well-documented
to have an anti-minority bias??

I went to an all-black high school in Southwest Atlanta, GA. Very inner city, very urban. You should have seen our school band - they were the absolutely BOMB.

Our class star student (meaning the kid with the highest SAT score) was also our class valedictorian. This boy had a 4.2 (yes 4 POINT 2) GPA on a 4.0 scale taking advanced maths and science. And he had maybe barely an 1150 SAT score.

So that means that his SAT score of 1150, not only was it no where near comparable to his grades, but his measly 1150 was higher than EVERY OTHER KID IN MY CLASS and I had a class of 450. Meanwhile across town, I knew white kids who got high and never went to school who were getting 1300's. And we all know kids who were dumb as rocks but paid for those expensive as hell SAT "prep" courses and aced the damn thing. If more minority kids could afford those prep classes, we'd have done better too.

My point in all of this is just to say that IMO, standardized tests aren't a very good way to determine "intelligence." There is no question that Sarah Palin is a dumb @ss, but an 841 is no more an indicator of that than if she'd gotten a 1600.

25. It's not "elitist" to expect the president of the US to be more than moderately intelligent.

It's tragic that so many Americans are cheering on the dumbing-down of our society.

Edited to add: Our forefathers would be ashamed that we don't aspire to more.
