Obama Sticker on your car? No parking for you!!!!
http://www.upi.com/Odd_News/2008/10/10/Parking_lot_bans_Obama_supporters/UPI-65791223613759/

GIBSONVILLE, N.C., Oct. 10 (UPI) -- A Gibsonville, N.C., parking lot owner has raised eyebrows and some tempers with signs that ban Obama supporters from parking.

Parking lot owner Tim Henderson, who is supporting Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., for president, said the two signs posted in his lot ban parking by supporters of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., WFMY-TV, Greensboro, N.C., reported Thursday.

"I don't know how many ways you can interpret it. If you're an Obama supporter, you've got an Obama sticker on your car, you're not welcome to park here," Henderson said.

13. Lawsuits like that are intended to send a message.
Sue, win, collect damages, and never park there. Win, win, win.

I would rather know and be able to make a decision about what businesses I patronize.

5. Hmmm....
"I don't expect to go after anyone with a baseball bat. I would grin at 'em and laugh and ask 'em if they could read English," he said.

And I would grin at him and laugh at him and ask him if he understands the US Constitution.

9. between Raleigh and Greensboro
since there are only about 5K people there, I'd say parking is a moot point. There are probably a number of nearby cow pastures available and they'd probably have less shit in them.

8. I said it yesterday - this guy has a hard-on for the return of Jim Crow-type laws,
and this is his idea of a humorous way to whip up the other morons who feel exactly the way he does...

10. Good.
Everyone with such shitty opinions should post them clearly so we know which businesses do not deserve our money.

17. There was someone here on DU bragging about not selling to a woman wearing a McCain button
Edited on Fri Oct-10-08 11:02 AM by kineta
And a WHOLE LOT of people here cheered this person.

Only a small handful pointed out how unpleasant society would be if people started refusing business based on other's politics.

I hope some of the people who were cheering that day read this thread.

19. thanks for bringing that up. I was one of the small group who was against it.
It's never right to treat your fellow human like that. Regardless of politics we all have to get along to make society work. Sadly, too many people have forgotten that.

20. Yeah. Me too. The broader implications seemed obvious.
As this OP proves.

I like the person who had posted that and don't want to call him out directly, but that particular post sort of horrified me.
