He can't help us weather the new storms our nation faces.

He was a hero once upon a time. But it is time for a new approach America. The road ahead won't be easy, but we must beyond all doubt look to the best and brightest. What we do now is not a game. It's the future our children will live. It will be the history of what we tried to do.

The chorus of cynics have yet to reach the apex of their dissonant tone, and it will be brutal. But we have the greatest of all allies on our side. The truth.

The truth. Shed light on it. Let it rise above the pettiness of a horribly desperate and fallen cause, championed by the shallowest of self-proclaimed patriots.

The effectiveness of America's can-do spirit will be acutely focused on choosing who will lead us through our cloudy future, on choosing who can. Our nation has come together before to do tremendous tasks before, and will again.
