I Wish The So Called Pundits Would Stop Saying McLoser's Campaign Is Going Down
because of the economy and that he was ahead before. The economy is a factor, but so is the stinking way he's run his campaign, his veep pick, his temperament, the fact that he seems to be teetering on this side of life and that his own people didn't trust him before and even less now. They keep trying to downplay the sheer skill and brilliance of the way Obama has conducted himself and his campaign. I'm sure it's all part of the big myth they're pushing to 'keep the race exciting' and garner ratings....but I'm sick of the meme.

1. Just watch Chris Matthews
He knows the deal. McCain has run a stupid, inept, erratic, and un-coordinated campaign. He was behind before the convention, got a bounce, and really, the more he campaigns, the worse it gets for him. Mostly because he has done a crap job.

3. The Thing That Bothers Me About Tweety
is that while he gets it, he spends most of his show repeating the lies and taunts. I know he's doing it to promote discussion but he's been repeating this stuff for a good week now. Why doesn't he talk about AIP, McCain's ties to right wing groups and an assorted number of other topics. The reason the Swiftboats were so successful against Kerry is that people like CM kept the story on the front burners all the time.

I wonder how much of a story there would be if the media stopped reporting it and only the few thousand who gathered for a hate fest were the only ones privy to the muck.

2. The truth hurts
but I also agree with you.

The week leading up to Palin's debut in the VP debate was a microcosm of the entire McCain campaign: the lower the expectations, the greater the surprise when these idiots are able to sound even slightly reasonable, which they have yet to do. Maybe that's McCain's October Surprise?
